I use this app until many months and in spite of update, it still laborious to use. To pass from a window to another to select input or to ajust sound level for two zones take too much time. And to sort songs is very limited. A serious update would be really necessary.

After update to the latest, RX-Z7 receiver not seen

This has been one of my favorite apps ever for a long time. Now, since the latest update it is literally useless. Guys come on, this isnt serious!

This app has worked flawlessly the entire time I have owned my amp until this update. I can understand there are issues, which I would think you would have resolved by now, but to not even have the previous version available to revert back to is a complete failure in customer support.

Thanks for updating this so quickly, works perfectly with my HTR-6295.

Just updated the app and I can now say that the Yamaha RX-V3900 Amp works fine again!! Latest update fixed my issue thanks guys!!

Worked great with my rxv3040, then stopped. I can connect, but pressing buttons does nothing....

Great app but the Receiver doesnt always respond to changes from GUI (volume control, net radio station selection, input, etc) Receiver model :RX-V573

This application used to work but Im not sure what happened. It doesnt seem to pick up my amp. I even tried to enter the IP address manually. I hope we can figure it out. Its a great amp. The remote is a great idea even if it was mostly functional.

The Yamaha app can not find the $2400 Yamaha receiver even after resetting everything.....LAME Fix this crapy App.....WTH

Despite updating my amps firmware and even inputting a manual IP address I cannot connect to my r-n500 App needs fixing!

This app will not connect to my RN500. Im using an iPad Air 2 with the latest 9.01 SW. RN500 has the latest FW. - When opened, the app cannot see my RN500 - Manually entering the IP address displays a yellow triangle with an explanation mark. Although theres no explicit error description...it seems that even with the IP address of the RN500...it cant connect - RN500 and iPad are on the same subnet - I can successfully Ping the RN500 - I can play using AirPlay, so the iPad and RN500 are aware of each other The problem is clearly with the Yamaha AV Controller App. Its unusable as is. Please fix.

Is there an update this thing used to connect to my app now it doesnt Im Using the rxa1040 and it was awesome until I couldnt connect

Bought new receiver and the receiver connects to my network but this app cant find my receiver. Update: Flashed the receiver and now I can connect manually to the receiver it wont by itself and then it keeps dropping the wire less connection causing you to have to put the password in again. Very poor quality network adaptability. Yamaha should hire someone that knows what they are doing. The app is basic and would be good for some stuff but under these conditions it is pretty much a novelty you wont use much. My equipment is all apple and everything is updated to latest update.

A nice remote to have. Works perfectly with with my HTR-6295 AV receiver and BD-A 1020 Blu Ray player.

Jan. 2016 - I have had issues recently using the Music Play feature. If I leave the app screen to do something else (Facebook, Safari, etc.), the music stops playing or beomes spotty. If I recall, the first gen of this app could only use the Music Play feature if you kept the app open. Is it possible that there is an issue with iOS 9? I only started having the problem when I updated the operatng system on my phone and pad. I own both an RX-A3000 and an RX-A3010 and the app has worked great with both receivers. I rarely use the remote. Each update has added additional useful features. However, as noted by other reviewers, it would be great if Party Mode could also be added. Turning each zone on manually essentially does the same thing, but with four active zones, Party Mode would be much more convenient!

Would be even better as an app on the new Apple TV. Or for the Apple Watch for easy selection of Cinema DSP mode.

For a 2016 update, this is really disappointing. Please increase screen resolution!
